KAZ23-1

This workshop on Agriculture notifications has been organized at the request of the permanent mission of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The workshop seeks to enhance the knowledge and understanding of participants on the key provisions of the Agreement on Agriculture, the work of the Committee of Agriculture, and the notification procedures. This workshop is expected to contribute to the improvement of Kazakhstan's transparency levels in relation to the Agreement on Agriculture. There will be a specific focus on the domestic support notification requirements, an area in which Kazakhstan has indicated its stakeholders face the most difficulty. The objectives of the workshop are to increase the capacity of Kazakhstan to participate in the work of the Committee on Agriculture (CoA), and to enable Kazakhstan to fulfil their notification obligations, especially in relation to domestic support, in a timely manner in line with the transparency requirements prescribed by the Agreement and the notification procedures adopted by the Committee on Agriculture (CoA).
