Description
The fourth TPR of Guyana was completed in March 2022. The need for further efforts to comply with transparency requirements has emerged as an important area of improvement. This activity aims to provide officials from various entities in Guyana with an overview of notification requirements across WTO Agreements. This seminar will allow participants to take-stock of existing lacunae in technical knowledge and to identify internal procedures (inter-institutional) that need to introduced or upgraded to enhance coordination for the preparation and submission of notifications. It will also serve as a basis to organize subsequent more in-depth trainings in specific areas where additional support may be required. The Seminar will consist of lectures to refresh participants' knowledge about WTO Agreements and group sessions to explain notifications requirements.
