Description
The main objective of the Workshop is to update participants on recent developments in e-commerce, including on the state-of-play in regard to discussions in the WTO of the Joint Statement Initiative on E-Commerce, among other initiatives; and to identify appropriate policies and laws that will promote the development of domestic and trans-border e-commerce in goods and services throughout the region. Another objective is sharing E-Commerce experience and best practices of Singapore and the Region.

Pre-requisite
The nominees should be middle to senior level officials who have proven professional experience and responsibilities in the area of e-commerce policy and related WTO issues. Preference will be given to nominees who have a leading role in coordinating e-commerce policy across substantive areas and who participate in discussions on the issue in international and multilateral fora.
