Description
This regional workshop aims to build trade capacity of officials from Caribbean countries by increasing their understanding of relevant issues at the intersection between trade and environment and how to design trade and environmental policies that are mutually supportive.
In particular, the regional workshop will contribute to the better understanding of how trade can be used as a tool to support effective environmental action such as for the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change. The workshop will also provide a forum for participants to share experiences with respect to common challenges in designing coherent trade and environmental policies and related domestic and regional coordination.
The final day (17th January) will be dedicated to a half-day session (morning) with St. Kitts and Nevis stakeholders.

Pre-requisite
Selection of participants will be made by TED. Candidates should have expertise and responsibilities related to trade and/or environmental policies. Preference will be given to candidates that have successfully completed the E-Learning Course on Trade and Environment by the time they submit their application. Applications from officials with less experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
