Description
This workshop is aimed at building capacity of trade policymakers and standards organizations on reducing the impact of non-tariff measures (NTMs) on trade by using international standards and aligning them with the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop will provide participants with training on NTMs affecting regional trade and the role of international standards in addressing TBT related barriers. The participants are drawn from ministries of trade and national standards bodies of countries in the Central, South and East Asia regions (UNESCAP members). It is being organized in the margins of the meetings of the ESCAP Committee on Trade and Investment (Sixth Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Week).
