This workshop aims to facilitate participants’ understanding of the WTO framework of rules applicable to agriculture, including the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) and the outcomes of the agriculture negotiations; to increase participants’ understanding of the work and role of the WTO Committee on Agriculture, including relevant transparency and notification requirements; and to enhance participants’ knowledge of the ongoing negotiations on agriculture, as well as key regional agricultural trade topics and priorities.

Governments can nominate up to four capital-based officials with substantive professional responsibilities in Agriculture. The selection committee will only retain those officials in charge of, or participating in Agriculture negotiations (at the bilateral, regional and/or multilateral level) .
Pre-requisite
Applications will only be considered from candidates who have experience and current job descriptions directly relevant to the subject of the Workshop.
