Description
This regional workshop for CEECAC Government officials, with a focus on WTO rules and Members' practices relating to tariffs, quantitative restrictions and import licensing, combines substantive presentations, round-table discussions, practical exercises and hands-on use of WTO databases, with particular attention to transparency and WTO notification requirements in these areas.

Applications will only be considered from candidates whose experience and current responsibilities are directly relevant to the subject of the Workshop. Beneficiaries are invited to submit the applications of 4 candidates with the following profile:
• Mid-level capital-based government officials directly involved in trade policy implementation and market access issues including tariffs, licensing regimes and / or import or export restrictions (prohibitions, quotas or any other types of quantitative restrictions); or
• Officials responsible for WTO notifications (focal points preparing or examining notifications of import licensing and / or quantitative restrictions or related matters).
Applications must be submitted through the Permanent Mission to the WTO Secretariat as indicated in the documents attached.
