The WTO/UNDP Regional workshop on Trade and Gender focuses on gender-responsive trade policymaking, covering data collection, policy design, implementation, evaluation, and the use of WTO Secretariat policy tools. Through interactive sessions and applied exercises, the course enhances participants’ awareness of how integrating gender equality into trade policy supports women’s economic empowerment, sustainable growth, and trade efficiency. A call for participation and an invitation letter has been distributed to te Central Asian governments. The process (invitations, coordination and logistics) was handled by UNDP on the basis of criteria agreed with the WTO.
