This national workshop focuses on the SPS and TBT Agreements, and their implementation. It combines lectures, exercises and interactive sessions aimed at enhancing Oman's overall understanding of the SPS and TBT Agreements, with emphasis on the transparency provisions and the use of the ePing SPS&TBT Platform. The programme is designed to be interactive, focusing on real-time exchanges with relevant authorities on practical questions related to committee work and notification practices. As a result, the activity should support the effective implementation of both agreements and strengthen engagement by officials in committee work, and follow-up to review processes under both Agreements, particularly those that are transparency-related.
