Description
The 2025 In-Depth Dispute Settlement Course is organised by the WTO Secretariat to provide Members' government officials with a robust understanding of WTO dispute settlement procedures, knowledge of the practical aspects of dispute settlement, and the legal underpinnings of the dispute settlement system. This online course combines lectures, round-table discussions, theoretical insights, and practical exercises, equipping participants with both strategic knowledge and applied skills essential for navigating WTO dispute settlement.

selection process
The application form should be submitted along with a recent CV detailing the participants knowledge and experience in WTO law and how they satisfy the criteria. A selection process will be conducted to fill the thirty available spaces for government officials from Members and Observers.
Pre-requisite
The course will be conducted in English. All-around proficiency in English is, therefore, an essential prerequisite for participation. Participants must possess a legal background or be directly involved at a technical, practical, or policy level in WTO dispute settlement. Preference will be given to candidates who have already completed a Level 2 WTO training activity, in particular the Level 2 WTO thematic dispute settlement course or who have direct commensurate knowledge or professional experience in WTO dispute settlement.
