This workshop has been request by Oman to be held on 21 and 22 October. The workshop will provide participants with an overview of the WTO, the basic provisions of the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) and an in-depth focus on the transparency requirements emanating from the AoA applicable to Oman. The workshop will be a combination of lectures and group exercises. The objectives of the workshop are to increase the capacity of Oman to participate in the work of the Committee on Agriculture (CoA), and to enable Oman to fulfil their notification obligations under the AoA in a timely manner in line with the transparency requirements prescribed by the AoA and the notification procedures adopted by the CoA.
