This activity is being organized at the request of the government of Pakistan and is being delivered in collaboration with the World Customs Organization. This training activity will provide an opportunity to review fundamental concepts related to rules of origin such as the differences between preferential and non-preferential origin and the different possibilities to design of rules of origin. During the training, participants will also be updated on the recent work of the WTO Committee on Rules of Origin. Finally, officials will discuss the verification of origin, origin irregularities, and origin fraud.
