This workshop aims to facilitate participants' understanding of the basic provisions of the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA); to increase participants' understanding of the work and the role of the WTO Committee on Agriculture, including the relevant transparency requirements and notification obligations; and to enhance participants knowledge on the ongoing negotiations on agriculture as well as of key regional agricultural trade topics.

selection process
Governments can nominate up to four capital-based officials with substantive professional responsibilities in Agriculture. The selection committee will only retain those officials in charge of, or participating in Agriculture negotiations (at the bilateral, regional and/or multilateral level). Participants are required to be fluent in English.
Pre-requisite
Applications will only be considered from candidates who have experience and current job descriptions directly relevant to the subject of the Workshop.
