Description
The CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) formed a Technical Barriers to Trade, Information Management Systems and Enquiry Points (TIE) Committee as a special Committee charged with the responsibilities and functions to serves as a peer support system addressing Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) as well as Trade Facilitation (TF) and related issues. This TIE Committee is made up of representative from CARICOM Member States and has the mandate to reiterate and re-enforce the importance of WTO Member States and/or observer members fully complying with their transparency obligations under the World Trade Organizations (WTO) TBT Agreement, particularly those related to technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures, as well as other Enquiry Point obligations.
