Description
This Workshop, in the context of the WTO Biennial Technical Assistance and Training Plan for 2022-2023 (WT/COMTD/W/260/Rev.1), aims at providing an overview of market access tools used to manage market access for trade in goods and, in particular, the use of import prohibitions and restrictions as well as import authorizations. The Workshop will allow participants to review the restrictions, prohibitions and licensing regimes used by other WTO Members, WTO databases covering such measures, as well as some of the emerging topics and future trends related to managing import flows.

selection process
Governments can nominate up to four capital-based officials with substantive professional responsibilities in Market Access. The selection committee will only retain those officials in charge of, or participating in market access negotiations (at the bilateral, regional and/or multilateral level) . Participants are required to be fluent in English.
Pre-requisite
Applications will only be considered from candidates who have experience and current job descriptions directly relevant to the subject of the Workshop.
