This activity is foreseen in response to the specific request for technical assistance by the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in January 2023. The objective of the mission is to assist the Government of Equatorial Guinea in the preparation of the documentary basis for the first meeting of the Working Party, following the submission of the Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime in December 2022 . The programme of the mission includes technical working sessions on the WTO, the WTO accession process and the preparation of negotiating inputs.

The objective of the activity is to allow the Secretariat to interact directly with experts from the relevant Ministries and agencies while working towards the preparations for the first meeting of the Working Party. A roadmap on the accession process will also be prepared and discussed with the Government of Equatorial Guinea.
