Description
This training activity seeks to build the capacities of key stakeholders in Kenya working on TBT matters, such as government officials and staff in standardization institutions, with respect to key principles and disciplines in the WTO TBT agreement, as well as the work of the TBT Committee. Other relevant issues will be addressed, such as how to use WTO tools to better implement the TBT transparency obligations, discussions at the WTO on sustainability standards, and WTO jurisprudence on TBT matters. The activity will also include speakers from the Kenya Bureau of Standards, the Department for Trade, the Ministry of Health, and private sector representatives. The training activities will include interactive discussions, group work and practical exercises.
