Description
WTO support to the WTO Chairs Programme (WCP) holders will be implemented through the provision of an annual grant (up to CHF 50,000) and close monitoring by the Secretariat of their performance under each of the three pillars (research, curriculum development, outreach) of the programme.
The objective of the third pillar of the WCP is to increase the visibility and impact of applied research and to reach out to governmental and other decision makers. Interaction with policy makers may also feed back into adapting and customizing research, training and outreach activities conducted by the Chairs to the needs and priorities of beneficiary governments. Dissemination of research may take the form of seminars, conferences, roundtables, consultative processes with policymakers etc.
