Activity Type
Regional course/Workshop
Description
The Chair from Benin submitted a very comprehensive proposal jointly with the Chair from Senegal requesting funding from the French funds dedicated to francophone LDCs from Africa. This is part of the ongoing partnership with France within the WCP MOU (Convention de subvention 2018-2020).

The project, titled, "Using regional value chains as an export diversification strategy: The case of WAEMU countries" aims to analyze regional value chains (RVCs) and also study the obstacles that African countries face while trying to integrate into these chains. It will identify the specific products which countries of this sub-region have a comparative advantage in and put in place diversification strategies to create and strengthen RVCs.
