Description
The China International Public Procurement Forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Finance of China and the Shanghai municipal government, supported by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). It is one of the main activities of WTO Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) Capacity Training under China Building a Modern Fiscal System Technical Assistance Project supported by World Bank. The theme of the Forum is Sharing New Opportunities in Global Public Procurement Market. It will focus on major topics in the field of public procurement, including the latest developments, policies, procedures, best practices, opportunities and challenges. The aim of this event is to foster knowledge exchange and information sharing among policy-makers, researchers and practitioners. WTO is invited to make a virtual presentation on the GPA and China's accession to the GPA. WTO Deputy Director-General Yi is also invited to make opening remarks for the Forum.
