The workshop is designed to improve government officials' knowledge and understanding of the notification requirements under various WTO agreements, in view of the fact that the general level of compliance in certain WTO notification areas is low.
Therefore, officials from the institutions involved in the administration of any of the WTO agreements that have notifications requirements should be trained so that they acquire knowledge on the subject matter. With this knowledge among all the institutions, the level of compliance with notification requirements will be expected to increase and existing gaps on notification will be reduced.
