Description
This Regional Workshop on the WTO TBT Agreement for English-speaking African Members is being organized by the WTO. Relevant international bodies (e.g. International Standardization Organization, International Electro-technical Commission), as well as regional bodies (e.g. SADC, EAC), will also be invited to make contributions during the workshop.
The workshop will be tailored to the specific characteristics and needs of the region, encompassing, inter alia, the main provisions of the TBT Agreement, the work of the TBT Committee, transparency and quality infrastructure.
The workshop will combine lectures, exercises and interactive dialogues aiming at the exchange of experiences among the different countries and institutions involved.
