Description
The Secretariat of the World Trade Organization is organizing in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund Centre for Economics and Finance (IMF-CEF) a Regional Workshop on Dispute Settlement for Arab and Middle-East Countries, to be held in Kuwait City, Kuwait, from 4 to 7 February 2019. The workshop, in the context of the WTO Biennial Technical Assistance and Training Plan for 2018-2019 (WT/COMTD/W/227/rev1) aims to facilitate the more effective participation of Arab and Middle-East countries in the work of the World Trade Organization.

Pre-requisite
To be responsible for work relating to the WTO, preferably dispute settlement. The officials are required to be based in capital with direct responsibilities relating to the WTO, preferably dispute settlement; to have two years of experience on WTO matters, preferably relating to dispute settlement (but applications from officials with less experience will be considered on a case by case basis); and be familiar with current developments in the multilateral trading system. All candidates must be fluent in English. Candidates who completed the dispute settlement e-Learning course prior to submitting their application for this workshop should indicate this in their application.
