The workshop on the WTO Agreement on Agriculture and its notification requirements aims to strengthen the technical capacities of government officials responsible for the preparation and submission of agriculture notifications under the Agreement on Agriculture. Particular emphasis is placed on enhancing participants’ understanding of the applicable notification requirements, formats, concepts and calculation methodologies, especially in the area of domestic support. The activity provides practical guidance on the classification, preparation and submission of notifications, helps address challenges encountered in the notification process, and promotes a common understanding of WTO transparency requirements among the institutions involved. By strengthening institutional knowledge and technical capacity, the workshop supports the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of Türkiye’s agriculture notifications and facilitate more effective participation in the work of the Committee on Agriculture.
