The XXIst Meeting of the Inter-Agency Travel Network (IATN) take place in person at the Vienna International Centre and is jointly hosted by UNOV, IAEA, UNIDO and CTBTO.
Established in 2004, the IATN is a technical network of travel managers and practitioners from around 75 international organizations, including UN entities, specialized agencies, multilateral development banks and affiliated organizations. It provides a forum for exchanging experience, harmonizing travel policies and enhancing operational efficiency.The 2026 meeting will address key challenges and opportunities in corporate travel, focusing on:
- Best practices and cost savings to improve the use of limited travel budgets.
- Airline agreements and better coordination to maximize discounts and value.
- Travel operations consolidation, including shared services, governance, and cost recovery.
- Business continuity and resilience during crises and travel disruptions.
- Travel technology, including online booking, automation, AI, data-driven decisions, and compliance.
- Industry developments, including airline distribution, pricing, travel management services, and border requirements.
- Travel myths and misconceptions through practical discussion.
