Description
A two-day high-level parliamentary forum organised by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), the international organisation grouping parliaments of the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions, raising awareness among legislators and key stakeholders on global economic issues, including trade, economic integration, and the multilateral trading system. Organised in partnership with the Parliamentary Network of the World Bank Group and the IMF, the forum brings together parliamentarians, international financial institutions, and private sector actors to discuss a broad range of topics such as global trade, public debt, AI investment, Euro-African value chains, the blue economy, SMEs, and climate change impacts on food security, with a view to strengthening regional economic resilience and cooperation. The WTO Secretariat is a partner in the programme and will contribute specifically to Session 1 on Global Challenges to Economic Integration, Free Trade and Public Debt
