Description
COMESA Member States are at different stages in developing their trade remedies frameworks. In this context, COMESA provides targeted support through regional capacity-building workshops. In parallel, COMESA Regulations on Trade Remedy Measures are being reviewed, which are intended to serve as a regional guide for Member States in aligning their national frameworks. Members of the COMESA Trade Remedies Sub-Committee require a deeper understanding of the core pillars of trade remedies - anti-dumping, safeguards, and subsidies/countervailing measures. This capacity-building initiative will enable the WTO to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of trade remedies among COMESA member states.
