Description
The National Workshop for Jamaica on Industrial Policy and the WTO is a hybrid (virtual and in-person) training programme scheduled for 10–12 (Virtual Mode), and 17–18 November 2025 (In person). The workshop is designed to enhance understanding of key WTO rules related to industrial policy, tariffs, import licensing, and quantitative restrictions. It includes expert-led sessions on WTO disciplines, practical training on using WTO databases, and interactive roundtables to address Jamaica-specific trade policy questions. The workshop aims to strengthen Jamaica’s capacity to align its trade practices with WTO obligations and explore opportunities for economic diversification.
