Description
The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) serves as the principal multilateral platform for economic and commercial collaboration within the Islamic world.
Within the framework of the COMCEC Strategy, dedicated Working Groups (WGs) have been established in six cooperation areas: trade, transport and communications, tourism, agriculture, poverty alleviation, and financial cooperation. The 25th Meeting of the COMCEC Trade Working Group will be held in Ankara on 22-23 September 2025, under the theme of “Developing/Improving Export Strategies in the OIC Member Countries.” The WTO will contribute to the deliberations of the Working Group and provide insights and lessons learned on how its work and technical assistance support beneficiaries in analysing and streamlining their trade policies and implementing regulatory framework that help addressing supply-side constraints and boosting export potential.
