The main objective of this Workshop is to develop a broad understanding of e-commerce related elements in trade by enhancing knowledge of WTO Agreements: strengthen participants’ understanding of key WTO agreements and discussions relevant to e-commerce, including GATS, ITA, the Work Programme on e-commerce and the Joint Statement Initiative on e-commerce. It will explore e-commerce Regulations: deepen insights into e-commerce regulations within the WTO framework and Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs), with a focus on ASEAN’s opportunities and challenges in the digital economy.

We are pleased to invite your government to submit applications for up to five capital-based officials, to participate in this workshop. Should capacity allow, additional applications will be taken into account.
This training is highly specialised, and to ensure that participants can actively engage and fully benefit from it, we kindly request the nomination of highly qualified candidates. Nominees should be senior government officials from relevant institutions.
