Description
Standards and regulations have a significant impact on trade flows. Transparency, a cornerstone of the TBT Agreement, facilitates timely access to and dialogue on evolving regulatory requirements by public and private stakeholders. This TBT transparency workshop, targeting officials working in TBT Enquiry Points and Notification Authorities, will focus on the transparency provisions, the digital tools (and in particular ePing), and peer learning in good practices in transparency and coordination.

The Governments of Members and Observers to the WTO, which are eligible to benefit from training and technical cooperation activities, are invited to present one or two officials for consideration in the selection process. In this regard, an invitation letter with the application form will be distributed to eligible TA beneficiaries through their WTO representation.

Pre-requisite
Application restricted to government officials with direct responsibilities in the implementation of TBT transparency provisions under the TBT Enquiry Point and/or Notification Authority and registered on ePing.
