Description
This two-week course provides a horizontal perspective of WTO principles, functions and agreements and their application at the multilateral and regional levels. Topics covered in the programme are, inter alia, Market Access, Agriculture, Rules of Origin, Trade Facilitation, Trade in Services, TRIPS, Rules, Trade and Environment, trade & Gender and Dispute Settlement.
The activity is co-organized by the ALADI (Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración) and the WTO.

selection process
Candidates must be government officials with responsibility for issues related to international or regional trade and be based in their own country (capital). The letter of invitation along with the application form will be sent through the partner, ALADI.
Pre-requisite
Candidates must have passed the introductory online training course on the WTO, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience.
