Description
The seminar's main objective is to facilitate and strengthen Uzbekistan's understanding of the SPS and TBT Agreements in support of their WTO accession. Special emphasis will be put on the transparency provisions of both Agreements, especially on the functioning of the national enquiry points (NEPs). Presentations will also be made on the available online tools and the ePing SPS&TBT Platform. The workshop will combine presentations and interactive exercises, as well as sharing of experiences by relevant national stakeholders/officials dealing with SPS and TBT issues. Prior to the event, a virtual session dedicated to the private sector was scheduled in April 2024 to cover the search functions of the ePing SPS&TBT Platform.
