Description
The national TA activity aims to support Nigeria's Trade Policy Action Plan, strengthening the knowledge of government officials on the WTO Customs Valuation Agreement (CVA). The activity will be divided into two parts: (i) a day-long session for a large group of government officials and other stakeholders, and will cover the CVA in general, Nigeria's national experience with it, and other current customs valuation issues (ii) the three other days will focus on specific matters relevant to customs officials, including customs valuation concepts and in-depth analysis of CVA provisions - transaction value, specific procedures, related-party transactions, value adjustments, alternative methods of valuation, and valuation control.
