Description
This technical assistance activity aims to respond to Nigeria's request and support its Trade Policy Action Plan, strengthening the knowledge of government officials of the WTO Customs Valuation Agreement (CVA). The activity is divided into two parts: (i) a daylong session for a large group of government officials and other stakeholders, and (ii) three days focused on matters relevant to customs officials. The first part of the activity will cover the CVA, Nigeria's national experience, and current customs valuation issues. The second part will cover customs valuation concepts and CVA provisions in-depth, including transaction value, specific procedures, related-party transactions, value adjustments, alternative methods of valuation, and valuation control.
