Description
This Workshop explores the intersection between AI and trade, examining how AI is used in global value chains, the main policy issues arising from its implementation, and the trade implications of AI-related policies. Participants will also analyze emerging approaches to AI governance and international cooperation initiatives in this area, and reflect on the importance of having a coherent global regulatory framework that enables the benefits of AI to be harnessed while addressing the associated risks.

1) Interested applicants must complete the electronic application form and submit it online using the following link: https://wto.formstack.com/forms/taller_regional_ia_can_2026
2) Once interested applicants receive confirmation that their application forms have been successfully submitted online, they must forward that confirmation by email to their Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva so that it can validate these applications with the WTO Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation. This validation will be carried out by means of an email to ITTC-LACDesk@wto.org identifying the applications validated by the Member.
